About this Sports Massage course

Our Next Gen Sports Massage course was developed in association with The Association for Soft Tissue Therapists (SMA) and is fully endorsed and supported by The General Council for Massage Therapy (GCMT). It follows a hybrid model, using a blend of both in-person and digital learning sessions, all delivered by experienced industry professionals.

Over the course of 6 or 12 weeks – depending whether you choose the part-time or full-time study model – you’ll gain all the necessary skills and qualifications to help you begin a successful career as a Sports Massage Therapist. You’ll learn how to use deep tissue massage to treat existing conditions resulting from soft tissue dysfunction, treat minor injuries sustained during physical activity, and ease muscular tension in your clients.

The Next Gen L4 Diploma in Sports Massage is excellent as a stand-alone qualification or as a supplement to other industry qualifications, such as Personal Training and Gym Instructing, allowing you to offer a new range of services to your clients. Upon completion of the course, you will be able to gain employment as a Sports Massage Therapist and obtain insurance, whether that is in your own practice or working alongside physiotherapists, chiropractors, and osteopaths within a sports massage clinic.
