Help your clients unlock their strength potential through one of the most technically demanding and rewarding forms of lifting. This immersive and practical qualification has been designed to equip personal trainers with the expertise to confidently coach Olympic weightlifting movements, including the snatch, clean, jerk, and their variations.
Through a blend of technical instruction, fault correction, and applied coaching strategies, you’ll build a solid foundation in essential weightlifting concepts such as the hook grip, pull phases, and optimal positioning.

Overview
- Coach Olympic weightlifting movements (snatch, clean, jerk) and their variations with confidence.
- Apply technical knowledge of movement mechanics including the hook grip, pull phases, and double knee bend.
- Deliver structured coaching sessions and identify common lifting faults using appropriate cues and corrections.
- Integrate Olympic lifts and variations into client programming in a safe and goal-focused way.
- Adapt Olympic lifting strategies for clients of varying skill levels and objectives.
- Blended learning: a combination of online and in-person training that fits around your schedule
- Real-world application: formative assessments focused on practical coaching ability
- High tutor contact time with ongoing support and personalised feedback throughout
- Client-focused approach: suitable for both commercial gyms and performance-based environments
- CPD accredited and aligned with current industry standards
- You must be over 16.
- A Level 3 Personal Training qualification or equivalent is required.
- Experience with barbell training and gym-based free weights is strongly
- recommended.
