This course is made up of 3 modules

STOTT PILATES Intensive Cadillac

The Intensive Cadillac module prepares you to teach Level 1 (Essential and Intermediate) exercises on the Cadillac. By the end of this course, you will be able to fine-tune personal and circuit training programs to meet a variety of clients’ conditioning goals with 125 exercises on the Cadillac Trapeze Table.

STOTT PILATES Intensive Chair

The Intensive Chair module prepares you to teach Level 1 (Essential and Intermediate) exercises on the Stability Chair. By the end of this course, you will be able to fine-tune personal and circuit training programs to meet various clients’ conditioning goals.

STOTT PILATES Intensive Barrels

The Intensive Barrels module prepares you to teach Level 1 (Essential and Intermediate) exercises on the Barrels. By the end of this course you will be able to fine-tune personal and circuit training programs to meet a variety of clients’ conditioning goals using the Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector and Arc Barrel.

Overview

STOTT PILATES Intensive Cadillac

  • Add a variety of Essential & Intermediate exercises performed on the Cadillac Trapeze Table.
  • Become better acquainted with the Cadillac as a tool to create complete workouts or as a complement to routines featuring Matwork and other equipment.
  • Observe and experience a variety of exercises utilising the Cadillac’s features including the Roll-Down Bar, Push-Thru Bar, Trapeze, Leg and Arm Springs.
  • Understand the goals of each exercise, biomechanics and alignment, as well as cueing and correcting for safety and effectiveness.
  • Apply the STOTT PILATES Five Basic Principles to a variety of exercises, variations and modifications.
  • Understand the safety guidelines and application of the equipment for a variety of clients.

Duration: 25 hours of instruction and supervised teaching.

STOTT PILATES Intensive Chair

  • Utilise functional exercises to develop core strength against spring resistance in various positions, including standing, sitting, prone and side-lying.
  • Apply the STOTT PILATES Five Basic Principles to Essential and Intermediate-level Stability Chair exercises.
  • Develop a better understanding of movement essence and exercise goals, proper execution and muscle activation.
  • Improve core stability, increase peripheral strength and enhance mobility on one piece of equipment
  • Understand how the split-pedal option transforms exercises by challenging bilateral, unilateral and reciprocal strength and stability.
  • Develop cues and corrections for safety and effectiveness.

Duration: 15 hours of instruction and supervised teaching.

STOTT PILATES Intensive Barrels

  • Develop approaches to rehabilitating an injured musculoskeletal system.
  • Understand Anatomy and biomechanics, dysfunctions and pathologies, and exercise modifications in the: lumbo-pelvic, cervical, upper quadrant, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle and foot regions.
  • Understand pregnancy, fibromyalgia and other special conditions plus workout design.
  • Develop appropriate modification of Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair and Barrel exercises.

Duration: 10 hours of instruction and supervised teaching.

  • 20 hours of instruction and supervised teaching.
  • Minimum of 5 hours of observation.

STOTT PILATES® Intensive Cadillac, Chair & Barrels certification Level 1
  • You must be over 16.
  • You must have completed STOTT PILATES Intensive Mat-Plus™ and STOTT PILATES Intensive Reformer.
