Exercise Referral

Exercise referral schemes continue to grow in number through Primary Care Trusts (PCTs), local authorities and the private sector. This qualification will enable you to advance your career in an extremely rewarding field working with medically referred clients with low-risk medical conditions.

Learn to…

  • Identify the main characteristics of a range of diseases and conditions including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, multiple sclerosis and parkinson's disease
  • Identify a range of medications and their implications for exercise
  • Recognise the benefits of exercise for a range of diseases and conditions
  • Identify the exercise implications of a range of conditions and diseases
  • Screen and assess clients with low-risk medical conditions

Prerequisites

  • Level 2 ETM or Gym Instructor
  • Teaching experience (recommended)

In order to receive certification you must complete the Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology theory paper. If you do not already hold this qualification we can offer an exclusive price of £100 for this course via eLearning if booked at the same time as Exercise Referral.

  • 5 days face-to-face learning plus 1 day assessment (a mixture of theory and practical)

Certification

  • CYQ Level 3 Certification in Exercise Referral Low Risk
