YMCA Fitness Industry Training is a wholly owned subsidiary operation of Central YMCA, the UK’s ‘Activity for Health’ charity and the world’s founding YMCA, established in 1844. The charity’s vision is of a world where all individuals have the opportunity to live healthy lives in mind, body and spirit. Our Mission is to seek change in health attitudes and behaviour through advocacy, education and direct delivery.

Central YMCA is distinctive for combining an emerging policy & public affairs agenda with an established direct delivery focus, both in health and activity and in the creative arts. We deliver products and services internationally and nationally, as well as at a local level and engage with over 80,000 people every year.

Central YMCA’s priority areas of work are:

Our delivery is principally through our operations:

• YMCA Fitness Industry Training – our award winning fitness training company
• Central YMCA Club - a thriving health, fitness and community activity centre, and a landmark in central London.
• CYQ - the UK’s leading exercise and fitness, government approved qualifications awarding-body, offering health related qualifications nationally and internationally.
• One KX - a unique arts and health centre addressing health inequalities and providing a wide range of activities in one of London’s most deprived districts.
• YTouring Theatre company - engages creatively with young people and adults through award-winning drama and ‘theatre of debate’.
