About Steiner

Steiner has operated spas onboard luxury cruise ships for over 40 years and during this time have witnessed the spa, beauty and cruise industry transform from appealing to niche markets to serving the vacationing public at large. In fact, both the spa and cruise industry are central to the North American lifestyle and continues to become more central in Europe and other regions.

Steiner has offered cruise ship jobs to over 50,000 beauty, spa and fitness professionals, giving them the opportunity to see places that others only dream about. Many stay with us for one or two contracts, but a core group remain with us for much longer – 20 or even 30 years.
 

Career opportunities

Steiner offers fitness professionals a unique career in the industry. The personal trainer is certified to lead classes and perform personal training sessions on board. The personal trainer must be knowledgeable of all fitness offerings at the spa and hold current level 3 personal trainer qualifications.

Successful applicants will be required to attend a three week intensive training course in London where they are taught how to implement the specially designed programs and business model, as well as receive tuition on public speaking, seminars, pilates, yoga and indoor cycling. The skills that you will learn on our training will be invaluable for any future employment opportunities.
 

Ideal candidates

The ideal candidates must possess excellent customer services skills in order to provide the highest quality environment and instruction that will meet the needs of our guests in the area of health and exercise. We ask for all applicants to attend five hours of pilates and yoga classes prior to attending our three week intensive training course.

Your salary is mostly commission and tip based, so the more productive you are, the more you can earn therefore it is vital that you take charge of your day and be as proactive as possible.
