YMCAfit tutor Rachel Smith demonstrates our next exercise of the month, Warrior 2 into extended angle exercise that strengthens the legs, arms and shoulders, helps to relieve lower backache and tones the abdominal muscles.
This month we look at using the Cadillac to carry out a push-through on the stomach with back extension exercise. This exercise will work the spinal extensors, gluteus maximus and hamstrings. By engaging the abdominal muscles you will be able to evenly extend throughout the spine.
This month Lincoln Blandford - a YMCAfit tutor, encourages you to try out an ipsilateral single arm pullover with hip extension. An exercise which is fantastic for anyone who finds they have excessive curvature of the spine during big compound lifts.
